Hubby had to put the Magnum in the body shop, because he got rear-ended not too long ago and it's finally getting fixed. Somehow he was able to talk the insurance company into letting him rent a giant Toyota minivan. We picked it up this morning.
So now I can totally see why people buy minivans.
Just before Surprise was born, we started looking for a "family" car. Until then, we'd been able to tote Oldest around in my car or his Wrangler (and he looked so cute, baby seat facing out, his little face watching the world through the back window). But two kids wouldn't fit in either one of those.
We didn't want a minivan. Too stereotypical, I guess, too big...they always get in front of me and I can't see ahead.
But OMG! This is AWESOME! It has a mirror that lets you see whats going on in the back seat, instead of pulling down the regular rear view and swerving into traffic! You could climb back there to separate a kidfight without even opening the door. And it's so COMFY. The boys just love it too, especially their little captain chair seats.
Hmmm. Maybe the next car, after the commuter vehicle we're looking for now. If they even make minivans by then.
