Work at Home Wednesday was changed to Work at Home Monday this week because I have to go to a meeting Wednesday morning. At 9AM. 9AM, and I am already terrified of being late! WTH! I can't get somewhere by 9AM?!
Anyhow, today I finally had a REAL work at home day, without distractions. I got a lot of catch-up web content work done and started tentatively moving things around in the playroom, which I want to reorganize.
Then I decided to go to Walmart. We needed toothpaste, and grapes.
We used to have a Walmart a few blocks away. It was kind of a pit. It always seemed kind of dirty and rundown, with shelves barely stocked. How excited I was when they announced they were closing it and building a Super Walmart down the road!
But then Super Walmart opened, and it was way crowded. The line of cars going in was like Field of Dreams. So we avoided it for awhile.
It was still busy today. Like super, parking lot packed busy, in the middle of the day. It's hard to find things there. And its huge, but the aisles seem to be too small. Every one I wanted to go down had someone in the middle of it. And then I forgot something back in the food aisle and had to walk 900 yards back to it. Tired. Sweating. Why is it so hot in here? Its a new building, isn't the AC working? I was looking for some tshirts and shorts, but was totally overwhelmed. Where does plus stop and ladies start? Why am I in Juniors?! I got the toothpaste, and the grapes, and some food stuff and OF COURSE some craft supplies, but that was about it.
I'm sure I'll get used to it, but right now I miss the old skanky Walmart!
I also miss my former next door neighbor, but I saw her today at Walmart. So that was a good thing. They've been goone for 6 months now and I still feel sad when I look over at the house and they aren't there. But I saw her, and gave her my number, and accidentally took her pen. Agh!
