Holy #@%^&! It's the middle of May already! What the heck? A quick catch up.
Tiberius has been postponed. Now I am aiming for June. Why? Well, because for one thing I totally lost track of time! I'm not ready! Besides that, I seem to be back at square one with Hubby. Yes, he's changed his mind again. And now, it's because he thinks I have too much going on. He thinks my ill mother is too much pressure. He thinks I am disorganized and frazzled with only two children. Disorganized?! Frazzled?! Ha! So now I have a month to prove that I am organized and unfrazzled.
Besides that, I seem to have hit a plateau on the weight loss front. This is partially (OK, mostly) because my bout with winter depression seems to be over, and the appetite is back. In most ways this is good - it's pleasant not to be depressed, and eating is kind of necessary - but it also means that I have to fight off cravings for ice cream, chocolate, and midnight cheese. I've also lost my enthusiasm for listening to depressing songs on the treadmill, making the treadmill a tiresome chore once again.
The improvement in energy means I am back on the money making track too...well, sort of. My motivation has changed, and now instead of paying off the credit card, I just want to buy stuff. Sigh. We have to redo the boys' rooms soon and I need some clothes (the fat clothes are falling off..the thin clothes still don't fit.) I want my office to look nicer and my living room to stop looking like a hovel and I want to go to the beach. Need. More. Income.
Oldest has only a month of his first year of school left, and Surprise is down to his last days at preschool. He is singing a track from Curious George, and at this moment I am on my 34th viewing of Curious George in the last 5 days, but at least he seems to know all the words now. (By the way, the soundtrack is by Jack Johnson. Not John Mayer. At first I thought it was John Mayer. I guess one sign that one really is middle aged is thinking that all "new" (post 2001) music all sounds like one particular artist.)
I've decided to take them out of the current preschool, and they are going to do some day camp stuff in the summer. Oldest's Little League coach put him on first base, and this seems to have improved his concentration. I am definitely seeing overall improvement in his focus and behavior, so maybe he just needed to mature a bit.
Today is our anniversary. I am making egg salad, Hubby's favorite and my most special culinary masterpiece. We saw Star Trek yesterday...how romantic! And how frigging old is Leonard Nimoy, for crying out loud?
